Kevin Peraza’s dad built BMX in Mexico before building a champion.

Before Kevin was born, his father, Victor Peraza was helping introduce BMX to Mexico.

There were no proper tracks, no established pathway. Just a bike, dirt jumps, and a dream.

Then he became a father. Victor made another decision. He moved his family from Sonora, Mexico, to Arizona so his four boys could grow up with opportunities he never had.

He never stopped riding. His home was always full of bikes, ramps, and kids chasing the same passion that had first inspired him.

And at every major competition, Kevin’s mom has been there too, holding a Mexican flag in the stands.

When Kevin qualified for the Olympics, he could have represented either country.

He chose Mexico. The country his parents never stopped carrying with them.
