A skull fracture almost ended Shaun White’s career before it began.

As a baby, Shaun underwent two open-heart surgeries for a congenital heart defect.

Years later, after breaking his hand, fracturing his foot, and suffering a skull fracture in a skateboarding accident, he told his mom he was done.
