salisburyuniversity mourns the recent passing of Ward Lambert, the all-time winningest coach in salisburymbb history. Lambert led Salisbury State College and University for 30 seasons from 1970-2000, winning 432 games and making five ncaadiii Tournaments, including a pair of Elite Eight runs.

Lambert’s teams were known for their offensive prowess, setting numerous national records in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s behind all-time #d3hoops scoring champ Andre Foreman. Lambert was inducted into the SU Hall of Fame in 2001 and remained a fixture around the Salisbury community for decades.
