A few days ago, we saw @thrivewithcandicee make a fresh mint syrup and honestly, it had our jaws on the floor.

We make and keep fresh mint tea in our refrigerator year-round, so we had to try it and see if it would take our homemade tea to the next level…

And it is LIFE-CHANGING.

It felt like forever waiting for the syrup to fully liquefy in the refrigerator, but it is absolutely worth the wait. The flavor is incredible and completely transforms our homemade mint tea.

You have to try this. It’s going to blow your mind.

Life-Changing Fresh Mint Syrup
Granulated white sugar
Good size container of mint
Remove the stems from the mint leaves .
Chop them up.
In a jar, layer equal parts of chopped mint leaves & sugar.
Add the juice of 3-5 lemons. Press gently.
Close the lid and refrigerate for 48 to 72 hours. Mix it once a day. Feel free to add extra lemon or water to help the liquefying along. Strain and store in the fridge!

Fresh Mint Tea
In about 6-8 quarts of waters, depending on how much you want to make. Bring to a boil, off the heat, and add in 1-2 (or more ) boxes of your favorite tea, we used Lady Grey. Let that steep completely, add in as much mint as you’re willing to purchase, we use around 4-5 cups of mint leaves. Press them in and let them sleep as well. Strain everything and refrigerate..
Once the syrup is ready, pour pour yourself a glass of mint tea and add syrup and you will see this really is life-changing mint tea!!
