✈️ Initial attack makes a difference. 

The rapid deployment of aerial resources on the #DehesaFire in San Diego County, combined with the strategic application of retardant and water, played a critical role in minimizing the spread of this incident.

In the first few hours of the fire, aircraft delivered 24,165 gallons of retardant and 41,250 gallons of water, while logging 15.35 total flight hours.

A swift, coordinated initial attack by both air and ground resources kept the fire to 93 acres and 50% containment. Forward progress has now been stopped.
