𝗠𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗲 👇

Looking back, I didn't realize how many of my daily habits were making it harder to create music.

1. Starting the day by checking social media

I was giving my best creative energy to everyone except myself. 

2. Waiting for inspiration

The more I waited to "feel creative," the less music I actually finished. I would often not feel very creative that day, then as I worked on music the spark hit.

3. Jumping between five different projects

Nothing kills momentum faster than never finishing anything. Focus on a maximum of two songs at a time.

4. Working with constant notifications

Every interruption made it harder to get back into a creative flow. Turn off unneeded notifications.

5. Staying in the studio when my brain was exhausted

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is take a walk and come back with fresh ears. Train your mind to only view the studio as a place of creation.

6. Watching tutorials instead of making music

Learning feels productive, but creating is what actually moves you forward. It's important to not spend all of your time in a youtube loop. Balance learning and applying. Better yet start making... and when you get stuck search just for that answer, then get back to creating.

7. Trying to force discipline instead of building better systems.

The easier I made it to start, the more consistent I became. I've learned that success isn't about fighting your brain, but creating an environment where your brain can do it's best work. I seek ease and find it.
