## Caption

Borussia Dortmund introduced the squad for the start of the 2024-25 roster under new manager Nuri Şahin and then defeated visiting Aston Villa 2-0 in front of a sold-out crowd of 81,365 on Saturday, netting goals from captain Emre Can and midfielder Julian Brandt less than two minutes apart in the first half. 

BVB plays at Phönix Lübeck to open this season’s DFB-Pokal next week and then hosts Eintracht Frankfurt to kick off their 1. Bundesliga campaign on August 24.
