## Caption

Haven’t photographed a lot of softball this season, but caught a defensive battle this afternoon in the Class 5A state semifinal between 3-time state champion Aledo and Harlingen South, making their first-ever appearance in the state tournament. Weather conditions moved the game from UT Austin’s McCombs field to Georgetown ISD’s East View High School, where Harlingen South won, 1-0 on the strength of an RBI single by Emily Ruiz.
