620 at Mansfield Dam closed Monday,
June 10 from 5 a.m. to noon

Message from Braden Frame
President, Lake Travis Fire Fighters | IAFF Local 4117

Last night, the Lake Travis Fire Fighters Association, or #LTfirefighters, were contacted by Lower Colorado River Authority advising us of their plans to close RM 620 at Mansfield Dam on Monday June 10, 2019.

The closure will will be in both directions between 5:00 AM and 12:00 noon, while the road may be opened for some brief times during this period, no guarantees of travel can be made.

The closure is approved for LCRA by ERCOT and coordinated with TXDOT to allow LCRA to complete needed updated to the Mansfield Dam power station, placing new overhead power lines by helicopter across RM 620.

This event occurred a few months ago and greatly impacted our community. The LTfirefighters are doing everything we can to spread the word.

We have a post on our facebook page here -> https://www.facebook.com/LTfirefighters/photos/a.10153630167761266/10155882458201266/?type=3&theater

We will post additional updates on Facebook and Twitter as we get information from LCRA.

The most important thing to remember is that while the road may be closed, and while our community will need to plan ahead, regardless the Lake Travis Fire Fighters will be prepared and ready to respond even with a major arterial being blocked.
