As we continue into the 2026–2027 season, we’re taking a closer look at the people helping shape the experience inside our studios. These in-studio moments capture members of our Artistic Team doing what they do best—teaching, mentoring, and guiding the next generation of dancers across Joffrey Ballet School’s institutional programs.

Leading Joffrey Ballet School as Dean, Meg Paul megpaul_dance brings more than forty years of experience as a performer, educator, choreographer, and arts leader. A former principal dancer with The Joffrey Ballet and Complexions Contemporary Ballet, her career has included performing works by some of the most celebrated choreographers in dance, alongside extensive leadership in professional companies, higher education, and arts programming. Appointed Dean in 2025, Meg continues her longstanding commitment to nurturing emerging artists while carrying forward the legacy of Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino and the School’s dedication to innovation and inclusivity.

Together, our 2026–2027 Artistic Team brings decades of professional experience, mentorship, and a deep commitment to dance education into our studios. We look forward to another season of learning, discovery, and meaningful artistic experiences throughout the Joffrey Ballet School community.

As Artistic Director of the Ballet Trainee concentration within our Pre-Professional Trainee Program, Era Jouravlev erajouravlev_05 brings an extensive career in classical ballet and more than thirty years of teaching experience to the next generation of dancers. Trained at the renowned Perm State Choreography Academy, Era went on to perform as a Principal Dancer with the Perm State Opera and Ballet Theatre and New Jersey Ballet, building a career that brought her to stages around the world.
