📣 Attention Hockey Fans! 🏒

We've teamed up across the province, setting up drop-off centers to collect hockey gear to assist children who lost their gear in recent fires in the Halifax area (Tantallon and Hammonds Plains) and Southwestern Nova Scotia (Shelburne and Barrington areas).

A big thanks to Andre Lefebvre who started this initiative. 

Your generosity will go a long way in supporting these young hockey players. 

If anyone wants to drop gear off in Cape Breton before Friday, they can do so at Southend Community Centre in Sydney. 

Here's what you need to know:

1️⃣ Drop-off Centers:

* Cleve's Source for Sports (HRM area): June 1st - June 30th - Contact: Andre Lefebvre 

* Mariners Centre (Yarmouth area): Monday - Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm) - Contact: Laurie Barron 

* Membertou Sport & Wellness Centre (Cape Breton area): Friday, June 2nd (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm) & Saturday, June 3rd (11:00 am - 3:00 pm) - Contact: Jordan Evasuk-MacDonald

*Southend Community Centre (Cape Breton): Thursday, June 1st - Friday, June 16th (10:00 AM - 7:30 PM) - Contact: Angie MacDonald 

*New Minas Cleve’s Source For Sports: Thursday, June 1st - Friday, June 30th

2️⃣ Accepted Items:

Gently used or new hockey gear, including skates, helmets, sticks, gloves, pads, gear bags, goalie gear - pads, goalie sticks, blocker, gloves and goalie sticks will be greatly appreciated.

3️⃣ Donation Times:

Please check the respective community center websites or contact their staff for drop-off timings.

Your support will make a tremendous difference in the lives of these children who have lost their gear due to the fires. Let's rally together and ensure they can continue their passion for hockey!
