I'm officially running independently for City Councillor - Ward 1 this municipal election 2026

A mother in #Etobicoke North paying nearly $1,000 more than #Toronto's average for auto insurance because of her postal code doesn't ask me:

“Nathen, is your solution Left-wing or Right-wing?”

She asks:

“Can you help lower my insurance?”

My answer?

It's ALIGNED, #Mom. ❤️

My Ward 1 Auto-Insurance Fairness Initiative challenges the territorial pricing that leaves M9V/M9W families facing some of Toronto's highest premiums.

I can't personally order an insurance company to lower your bill—and I won't pretend I can.

What I can do as Councillor is push Toronto to build the evidence: compile Ward 1 collision and road-safety data, invest in smarter traffic management and collision reduction, and use that evidence to formally pressure Ontario and FSRA for fairer territorial pricing. 

The goal: safer roads → fewer collisions → stronger evidence → fairer premiums.

Your postal code shouldn't feel like a financial penalty.

Political labels don't pay your insurance bill.

Solutions do.
