Artist proofs might be the most slept-on collectibles in Magic. They’re often limited to only 50 nonfoil and 30 foil proofs per printing. The blank backs can also be signed, sketched, or painted by the original artist turning that specific proof into a true one-of-one piece. You get an incredibly rare collectible while supporting the artist directly. How are collectors not chasing these harder? I recently paid $500 for this Hexing Squelcher proof with original artwork on the back, and I think the artist-proof market should be much bigger than it is.
