Mickela likes to say she “makes new friends by dancing with strangers.” The Bare Feet team is excited to bring another moving season of cultural connection through the universal lens of dance and music to PBS and public television audiences, with a release date of May 1, 2025. For this new Season 7, Mickela is featuring voices that aren’t always heard in storytelling, including those from Black & Brown, Indigenous, and other underrepresented communities around the world, including the disability community right here in the United States. 

Though we are connected more than ever virtually, our own divided country is battling a Loneliness & Isolation Epidemic. This 10-episode season brings viewers on an uplifting journey of connection around the world.

10 half-hour episodes featuring the Island of Ireland, Cuba, Louisiana, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Accessibility in the Arts (US).
