It can definitely seem like it sometimes 😍 

📍 Madeira, Portugal 🇵🇹 

While Madeira is a pretty small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean (often referred to as “The Pearl of the Atlantic”, it has a crazy amount of things to offer, from…

🌿 Incredible nature walks and hiking
🌅 Beautiful sunrises AND sunsets (including some with cloud inversions ⛅️)
🥘 Delicious local and traditional food
💦 Stunning waterfalls (including some you can swim in!)
☕️ A ton of delicious coffee spots – both for Portuguese coffee & barista style
🥭 Delicious fresh, tropical fruit (you gotta try their mangos, passion fruits, bananas, and ‘tomate ingles’)
🫶🏼 The nicest local people 
🌊 Incredible coastline all around
…and so much more!

And while it doesn’t have glaciers, volcanoes, or thermal springs like Iceland and New Zealand do, and it’s not quite as tropical as Hawaii – if the three of them had a baby (however weird that may sound), then Madeira might be it!
