When we go out to eat as a family (which is typically on the weekends when I need a break from cooking) we try to eat out within a $30 budget for our family of 6.⁣
⁣
While that may seem crazy, and your budget will vary based on location and ages of your kids, there are definitely things you can do to lower your food cost when you dine out.⁣
⁣
Here are my TOP 10 WAYS TO SAVE MONEY EATING OUT:⁣
⁣
1. Choose fast casual dining (better food and no tip)⁣
2. Split a large entree between adults⁣
3. Split a large entree between kids⁣
4. Skip drinks, appetizers and dessert⁣
5. Join the reward program for your favorite restaurants ⁣
6. Join the birthday club for your favorite restaurants to get free food around your birthday⁣
7. Bring your own food for kids (especially picky toddlers)⁣
8. Limit the amount of times you eat out each week⁣
9. Look for “kids eat free” reataurants⁣
10. Take home leftovers⁣
⁣
More explanation and details are in my stories 👆🏼, plus I’m showing you our experience eating out at Pei Wei today - what we got, how much food it was, and what our total was - so make sure to check that out!⁣
