The Navy is reportedly weighing whether to strip Doris Miller's name from a new aircraft carrier, with President Trump's name floated as a replacement. Miller was a cook in the segregated Navy who took control of an anti-aircraft gun during the attack on Pearl Harbor with no formal training and helped shoot down enemy bombers.

His great-nephew says the family learned about this from the news, not the Navy. This follows the renaming of a ship honoring Harvey Milk, with vessels named for Harriet Tubman and Thurgood Marshall also under review.
