Madden 12 doesn’t get talked about enough when people rank the best in the franchise, but that game was genuinely special. The physics engine felt fresh at the time, gang tackles actually looked realistic, and the presentation made every game feel like an actual broadcast.

It wasn’t just gameplay either, Franchise Mode had real depth and Superstar Mode kept you locked in for hours at a time. For a lot of us, Madden 12 is the one we go back to when we talk about the golden era of the series.
