Deja never took a step, but she’s always been Marquise’s way forward 💙

Marquise Goodwin’s whole career was fueled by something bigger than football, his relationship with his sister Deja. Goodwin was woken up one night in middle school by Deja, who is 10 months younger and unable to walk due to cerebral palsy, and heard her ask God to let her feel what it’s like to walk. That moment changed everything for him.

He committed himself to maximizing his ability from that point on, saying he’d be doing her a disservice if he ever sat around being lazy or complaining instead of running, jumping, and competing. That’s not just motivation, that’s a bond that turned pain into purpose and built an entire NFL career.
