A huge thank you to everyone who attended The AGEncy Fest: Inaugural 60+ Commission by Dana Lam! Over three weeks, we gathered at 72-13 for Who Knows Where The Bird Goes, an exhibition celebrating Dana's lifetime of practice.

From exhibition walkthroughs to the illuminating conversations featuring Dana's friends from AWARE and other fields - we found ourselves moved to tears - and laughter - while reflecting on Dana's exploration of agency in her practice. To quote one of our participants attending a conversation with Dana and long-standing gender equality advocates such as Constance Singam and Dr. Kanwaljit Soin: "Watching the queens of civil society being friends is giving me a lot of thoughts about who I want to be in the future."

Coming up next for The AGEncy Fest - an autobiography writing workshop with gerontologist Normala Manap starting in October. This five-part workshop invites participants to become active creators of their own life story and reflect as a group on turning points, relationships, and values that have shaped their lives. Stay tuned for registration details.

The AGEncy Fest, set up by independent arts company T:>Works, is an enabling platform to provide vital resources for individuals aged 60 and above. It can be used to develop new works, build their capacity and foster meaningful connections across generations. The AGEncy Fest recognises that mature individuals still have decades of wisdom to contribute and share to Singapore’s cultural and wider landscape, and champions a future where creativity knows no age.

(*60+ refers to individuals aged 60 and above)
