Crew Girl tells the story of Teagan Tao (Martineau), a gifted 16-year-old single sculler whose promising future is derailed by a family scandal. As Teagan puts it in the trailer, “My life, as I knew it, was over.”

Forced to relocate to the East Coast with her mom Ella (Jessica Paré), Teagan hopes to have a fresh start at the prestigious Easton Prep. But once there, she finds that she’s not just the outcast newcomer — she’s stuck on land. There’s no girls’ rowing team at Easton. Her only way onto the water? Taking the helm as coxswain for Easton’s notoriously chaotic boys’ varsity crew.

As she fights to reclaim her rowing dreams, manage the chaos of the crew, and navigate her family’s growing troubles, Teagan finds herself caught between two boys in her boat. She’s torn between the school’s golden boy, Josh Regis (Braun), and Cam Dillinger (Clark), a quiet but fiercely determined local who refuses to be underestimated.
