After throwing for more than 3,400 yards in a standout freshman campaign, Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele decided to return to Cal to lead a revamped team as quarterback this season.

The left-handed sophomore — ranked 18th nationally in passing yards — started all 13 games last season, completing 64.2% of passes for 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also rushed for four touchdowns.

The Hawai’i local’s performance earned him numerous accolades, including a spot on the On3 True Freshman All-American team and a Davey O’Brien National Quarterback of the Week award for the week of Nov. 8, 2025.
