The 66-year-old admitted he'd spent around a year scrolling through the app, telling himself it was giving him a glimpse into what everyone was talking about.⁠

Eventually, though, he'd had enough.⁠

He swapped endless scrolling for long walks with his dogs, reading, seeing friends and family and even sitting down to complete 1,000-piece jigsaws.⁠
