It even started close to home, with his son Spencer joking back in 2018: “Chilled night watching Home Alone 2. Always forget you’re in it.”⁠

When the joke resurfaced, Piers issued a very clear response:⁠

And, for the record, he’s telling the truth. The Pigeon Lady was actually played by Oscar-winning Irish actress Brenda Fricker, who won Best Supporting Actress for My Left Foot before appearing in Home Alone 2.⁠
