🇺🇸 COINBASE IS MAKING #BITCOIN BACKED MORTGAGES AVAILABLE IN THE U.S. 🟠

Crypto-backed mortgages just moved closer to the mainstream.

Better Mortgage and Coinbase announced that their token-backed conforming mortgage product is now generally available to Coinbase One members.

The structure lets eligible borrowers pledge Bitcoin or USDC as collateral for a separate down-payment loan, while still securing a conforming Fannie Mae mortgage on the home.

In other words 👉 Borrowers may be able to buy a home without selling their Bitcoin.

That matters because selling Bitcoin can mean giving up long-term exposure, triggering taxes, and losing upside.

This product creates another path:

✅ Accept mortgage offer
✅ Pledge BTC or USDC
✅ Secure the home mortgage
✅ Get up to $10,000 back at closing
✅ Pay off the loan and receive the BTC back

Coinbase says day-to-day Bitcoin price changes do not affect mortgage terms, and there are no margin calls based solely on BTC price movements.

This is not Bitcoin replacing real estate.

It is Bitcoin becoming collateral inside traditional finance.
