Karma, essentially, is a crime against your future self.

When you intentionally hurt someone, betray them, manipulate them, or do something maliciously just to cause them pain, you might get away with it in the moment.

Maybe it works. Maybe you win. Maybe they suffer and you walk away feeling like you came out on top.

But what you have to understand is that you're creating consequences that eventually come back around.

Because the person you're hurting today isn't the only person affected by your actions.

You're also creating the kind of person you're going to have to live with tomorrow.

So be careful what you do to people.

Because in one way or another, you're doing it to a future version of yourself.
