If you're a woman who wants to date a man that other women want, there's something you need to understand.

A man who is attractive, successful, has resources, status, and knows he has options is operating in a very different environment than a man who doesn't have those options.

And when a man knows he can have access to other women, his interests aren't necessarily going to be centered around protecting your feelings.

A lot of the time, his biological urges are going to be competing with your emotional needs.

That's not necessarily evil.

That's human nature.

The mistake is expecting his attraction to you to automatically override his biology, his impulses, and the abundance of choices available to him.

And this is where women sometimes confuse being desired with being valued.

A man can desire you intensely and still not be emotionally invested in protecting the relationship.

So if you choose a man that everyone else wants, don't just ask:

"Does he want me?"

Ask:

"Does he have the character, discipline, and values to choose me when he has other options?"

Because attraction gets you into the relationship.

Character determines what happens once you're there.
