It’s official. The Tampa Bay Rays are here to stay in Tampa Bay. After approvals and votes by Tampa City Council and the Hillsborough County Commissioners, the Rays have what they need to move forward with their new “Forever Home” in Tampa, Florida.

The sprawling multi-use development project on the Hillsborough College campus near Raymond James Stadium and Steinbrenner Field now has the green light. 

⏰ Construction timelines should always be taken with a grain of salt, but the Rays are hoping to have the new stadium ready in time for the 2029 season. They’ll continue to play in St. Pete at Tropicana Field until then.
