Federal prosecutors say 35-year-old #DaejonLabrayaeLove met women through dating apps and allegedly presented himself as wealthy, at times claiming to be a San Francisco 49ers player or successful real estate investor. Authorities say 18-year-old #TaylorJamieChan posed as Love’s financial adviser to help make the alleged investment opportunities appear legitimate.

Investigators claim the pair used social media, FaceTime calls and fake investment gains to convince women to send money. Love allegedly blocked victims once they ran out of money to invest or began asking too many questions.

At least 26 women across California, Idaho, Oregon and Washington have been identified as alleged victims, though the FBI believes there could be more.
