Rockstar Spud is wrestling again.

PROGRESS Wrestling announced the man known in WWE as Drake Maverick for The Odyssey Tour, competing Saturday, September 12 at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth, England and Sunday, September 13 at the O2 Academy in Birmingham, his hometown.

The promotion said it has been 1,769 days since his last match and nearly a decade since he appeared in PROGRESS, writing that "he is lacing up the boots once again." His last PROGRESS match came in May 2017, and his last match anywhere came in November 2021 in WWE.

Spud currently works behind the scenes in WWE as part of the Raw creative team, a role he has held since being rehired in 2022 following his second release.

The two-time TNA X Division Champion, former WWE 24/7 Champion and former 205 Live General Manager does not yet have announced opponents, with PROGRESS asking: "Who will he face on the Odyssey Tour?"

The Odyssey Tour opens September 6 in Manchester, where Xelina faces Myla Grace, and the Bournemouth show features Nikki Storm against Trent Seven for the first time ever. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster and the PROGRESS website.
