Costa Rica Bucket List 🪣 
📍Volcán Tenorio National Park
•
When planning a Costa Road trip this waterfall was near the top of our list, however, it’s gotten SO popular—would it be worth wading through LARGE crowds??
•
TIPS to enjoy to yourself: 
•
🌋〰️La Fortuna is the closest (large) city, and most travelers visit as a day trip. If this is your case, plan an early day! (It’s worth it!!) It’s a good 2-hour drive to the park 🚙, so you’ll want leave No later than 6am. 
•
🏨 〰️Stay nearby! There’s surprisingly numerous Airbnb’s and cozy hotels near the park. (Search Rio Celeste) We booked a cute, affordable Airbnb prior. 
•
🏃🏽‍♀️This part is not for everyone 😬: As it’s a 1.5 mile trek to the falls, we speed walked their, then took our time returning. On our return, we then enjoyed the surrounding portions. This provided 10 full minutes to capture, and sit next to the falls 🤩✨. 
•
📌 Volcán Tenorio National Park is open 8am - 4pm, with last entry at 2pm. 
•
Note 🚙: this plan assumes you’ve rented a vehicle. While we thought an SUV was a must in Monteverde Cloud Forest.. the roads to this park are well paved and A-ok for a small car!
