🩵 HEALTH UPDATE 🩵

This is definitely not the summer I imagined we would have back in May. It has been an emotional roller coaster filled with some highs and lowest lows of my life.

I have never experienced fear quite like the moment I heard the diagnosis ovarian cancer. Everything changed in an instant. Having to immediately face a massive, completely unexpected surgery was incredibly difficult, and the recovery has been a long one.

But above everything else, I know that God’s grace and His healing hands have been with me every step of the way—probably long before I even knew I needed them. 🙏🏻

The prayers that have been prayed over me and my family have meant more than I could ever put into words. I truly believe those prayers have played a huge part in my outcome becoming more and more positive with each passing day.

My husband and my poor boys, who have sacrificed so much of their summer, have been absolutely incredible. They have taken such good care of me and have been by my side through all of this. My sisters, nieces, nephews, and the rest of my family have surrounded me with so much love and support that I honestly cry every time I think about it. 

And then there is this incredible balloon industry that I have always said has given me so much. I don’t think I could ever fully explain just how much that has meant to me during this season of my life.

My favorite balloon brands, other local balloon businesses, wholesalers, clients, fellow balloon artists, friends, and this amazing community have shown me so much love, support, encouragement, and prayer. I have felt it all, and I am beyond grateful. Thank you will never be enough.

So, while this certainly wasn’t the fun summer I had planned, it is a summer I will never forget. And I’m choosing to focus on how far I’ve come, how much I have to be grateful for, and the positive road ahead. 

There are still a few hurdles to overcome this fall, so I would be so grateful if you would continue to keep me and my family in your prayers. 🙏🏻

One day at a time. One prayer at a time. And one step closer to putting this chapter behind me.
