Inside MLR is back with an exclusive look ahead to the 2026 Major League Rugby College Draft — including the top prospects, Draft success stories, how this year's Draft will operate, and further updates on the future of MLR.

Host Will Hooley is joined by MLR Co-President Alex Magleby, recently inducted into the US Rugby Hall of Fame, for a wide-ranging conversation about the growth and future of professional rugby in the United States.

Before diving into the Draft, Alex reflects on his Hall of Fame weekend and the USA Eagles’ continued winning form after their victory over Argentina XV in Florida. The pair also discuss major developments regarding MLR, including the possibility of a sixth team joining the league next season and ongoing negotiations with TV distributors.

Then, the focus turns to the 2026 MLR College Draft. Will and Mags break down why the Draft has become such an important part of the MLR calendar, how previous draftees have developed into established professionals and USA Eagles, and how this year’s Draft will work — including the live Draft show next Thursday at 6:00 PM ET on the MLR YouTube channel.

Will is then joined by Josh Macy, Lindenwood University head coach and one of the leading voices in US college rugby. Josh and Will discuss the incredible growth of college rugby, the advice Josh gives players preparing for the Draft, and some of the top prospects eligible for selection this year.

Most importantly, they make their picks for who could hear their name called in the first round.
