Yes, the 2015-16 cars will pull timing on lap three at a hot track. That's a real thing and it's also completely irrelevant to how 95% of these get used. 2017 brought the revised cooling and the bigger vents, so if the track matters to you, buy a '17+ and stop reading forum posts from 2016 written by people who never owned one.

What you're actually getting: supercharged 6.2 LT4, 650hp and 650 lb-ft, 7-speed manual with rev match, Magnetic Ride, aluminum frame, dry sump. Third gear in this thing does not sound like a car you're legally allowed to own.

Buying notes that matter more than the dyno sheet — pull the service history and look for a garage queen, not a Z07 with cooked rotors and a set of shaved Cup 2s. Carbon ceramics are glorious until you're quoting a replacement set. And factory fitment is 19x10 front / 20x12 rear, 5x120, 70.3 bore, so anything you build for it lives in the deep end.

The C8 is faster and the C8 will never do this. There is no third option.
