Five years ago, I had the same questions that many international students are asking themselves today.

“Will I find a job?”
“Will I be able to pay my fees?”
“What about my education loan?”
“Will I get a job in my field?”
“Will I ever get PR?”
“Was coming to Canada the right decision?”

Honestly, I didn’t have all the answers back then.

There were difficult days. There were setbacks. There were moments when I questioned my decision too.

But I kept going.

I worked, studied, changed my career path, improved my English, moved into healthcare, worked towards PR — and eventually, I made it.

But this video is not meant to tell you that Canada is easy.

Because it isn’t.

Some students are still struggling to find jobs. Some are working jobs outside their field. Some are worried about their permits. Some are waiting for PR. And some have had to make the difficult decision to return home.

Your journey is not supposed to look like mine.

If you’re an international student stuck in Canada right now, feeling lost or wondering whether things will ever get better — don’t let one difficult chapter convince you that your entire story is over.

Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep looking for opportunities. Be willing to change your plan when necessary.

You may not know where you’ll be 5 years from now.

I didn’t either.
