At Taranto 2026, the 20th edition of the Games, roller sports make their historic debut, and Italy owns the very first women’s Roller Marathon podium.

Melissa Gatti takes gold in front of the home crowd, with Sofia Saronni claiming bronze for a double Italian celebration. Portugal’s Francisca Gomes Henriques splits them in silver, in a sprint decided by fractions of a second.
