Excited heading into my 3rd academic year as a proud elected member of the University of Tampa Board of Counselors and top employer partner {from Spot Freight} to the University of Tampa.
For me, this role is about more than a title. It’s about helping answer an important question:
 
Are we preparing students for what comes after graduation?
 
A college degree opens the door, but students also need the skills to communicate, interview, network, build relationships, and confidently enter the workforce.
 
As an employer partner and Board member, that’s what I appreciate about my relationship with the University of Tampa...... the ability to make an IMPACT.
Through career readiness, professional development workshops, internships, networking, mock interviews, career pathing conversation, etc. its hits on the Spartan Ready mission of assisting students in preparedness prior to joining the workforce. 
 
I’m grateful to be on the Board of Counselors and also fortunate to bring an employer’s perspective to the conversation and see firsthand what companies are looking for in early-career talent as well. 
 
We now have 25 U Tampa alumni in Account Management roles out of our Tampa office at Spot Freight.

That’s more than a number. It’s a great example of what happens when higher education, career readiness, employers and students come together. 
I’m proud to play a small role in helping students become career ready, not just degree ready.
Equally grateful for our strong relationships with the Sykes College of Business - Southard Institute for Sales Excellence program and the ability to advocate for the UTampa Office of Career Services department and the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center
