🍛 NOW OPEN: 12 Masala is open in east Charlotte, replacing the former Curry Gate space.

CONTEXT: Owner Mukesh Ghimire was one of Curry Gate’s founders and is joined at baramasala12 by three others from the original team.

WHAT TO EXPECT: The menu centers on Nepali comfort foods like momos, stir-fried chow mein and thukpa, plus handmade samosas, tandoori breads and expanded vegan and gluten-free options.

- The drink menu has about six mocktails, including the 12 Special Sharbat and a virgin mojito.

😋 WE TRIED: Chicken tikka masala, chole bhature with chickpeas and puffy bread, Nepali chow mein, garlic and butter naan, and the 12 Special Kulcha stuffed with potato, onion and cheese.

📍 STOP BY: 12 Masala is in its soft opening phase at 8829 E W.T. Harris Blvd. #107 and is open Tuesday-Sunday from noon-9pm.
