🔎 Today’s Daily Sift: Crypto/Blockchain 

Bitcoin just recorded its largest weekly dollar gain ever.

BTC added $14,264 in seven days and closed Sunday at $77,387. Monday morning it was still holding near $78,000. 

But price is not the strongest signal.

Capital is returning.

US Bitcoin ETFs absorbed roughly $1.9 billion last week while Ether ETFs added $697 million. Combined ETF trading volume more than tripled to $29 billion. 

Then stablecoins moved.

USDC supply expanded by roughly $1.7 billion after months of stagnation as demand grows across payments, DeFi, tokenized assets and emerging AI agent transactions. 

Today, Fasset raised $68 million at a $1 billion valuation to expand stablecoin settlement infrastructure across more than 100 banking corridors. 

Crypto is not just creating assets anymore.

It is rebuilding financial plumbing.

Even Strategy changed posture.

It raised roughly $2 billion through MSTR sales but bought no Bitcoin, instead building a $1.59 billion liquidity pool while retaining 840,447 BTC. 

Dry powder matters.

So does risk.

Term Finance lost about $8.5 million through a governance exploit that drained roughly 68 percent of its vault product’s value.

The contracts were not the only attack surface.

Governance was. 

Forward Hypothesis

The next move will depend on whether liquidity becomes structural.

ETF inflows.

Stablecoin expansion.

Spot demand.

Institutional deployment.

Bitcoin has awakened speculation.

The deeper infrastructure was already moving.
