## Caption

💜 The joy that live music brings is universal, and meant for everyone's enjoyment. It is this belief that Esplanade created 🌞 A Ray of Sunshine, an interactive music experience for children with chronic illnesses and their families.

In June 2026, we welcomed close to 200 participants to this experience, specially designed with the needs of these children in mind. This inclusive and sensory-friendly music performance by risaannwong & friends was accompanied by a post-show craft activity, conceptualised and facilitated by seven student volunteers from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's m52_hmis.

Our heartfelt thanks to the six organisations and groups who helped make this happen: rdss_sg, clubrainbowsingapore, makeawishsingapore, hcahospice Star PALS, rareskinconditionssocietysg and the nafsingapore Juvenile Arthritis Club.

We are also incredibly grateful to our Programme Sponsor disneycruiselinesg and their 18 volunteers who supported this event, as well as the 15 Esplanade Volunteers who acted as chaperones and balloon sculptors for our guests and their families.

Caring for a child with a chronic illness can bring additional demands and logistical challenges for families and caregivers. We are grateful that, amidst their busy schedules, they were able to spend some time with us at Esplanade—we hope we brought some moments of joy and a little respite through these moments of music, creativity and connection.
