Hey, epagov — why are you considering reapproving a pesticide that's so dangerous it's banned in more than 60 countries? 

That's not very "environmental protection" of you. 

Atrazine is the second-most widely used pesticide in the United States. 

And despite being banned in more than 60 countries for how toxic and harmful it is, an astounding 70 million pounds of it are sprayed across U.S. soil every year. All because the EPA allows it. 

It's also contaminating our water. Wherever it’s applied, it often runs off to pollute groundwater or the nearest river, lake, or stream.

Your favorite lake to swim in? There's a chance it's contaminated with atrazine. 

Both people and wildlife alike are harmed by this toxic chemical, but the EPA is poised to reapprove its use for another 15 years.

Not on our watch. 

Let's get this crap banned for good.
