🚨2025 RECAP(important post alert)🚨

❌US indoors: NH in PV
❌Mt sac: Hurt calf a week before the decathlon
❌Gotzi’s: Foul out of LJ
❌US Outdoor Championship: DNF (injured heel 2 weeks before and injured patellar at the meet)

I didn’t finish 1 multi this year…

This sport can be BRUTAL, you can invest the majority of your time, energy, money and live a strict disciplined life for 9 months straight just to get no results and fail entirely(on paper😉).

But I share this to hopefully inspire or help someone out there. I almost view it as a responsibility with how far i’ve come. Not only in the words I type but in the perseverance.

Your perspective is your power. I still see this year as a major success. I actually had the most consistent training year in a very long time and improved so much, especially my mentality and focus leading up to meets. I also got to travel with good people and make incredible memories. It’s just unfortunate that leading up to/in comps I either got hurt or didn’t get a mark in something which is so rare.

There’s just a major delay in gratification from all the work I did. As frustrated and upset as I was in the moment during the setbacks, upon reflection im at peace with how it all played out.

God’s delay is God’s design. It’s just part of the story and I can only be optimistic that whatever God is preparing for me is something better than I can ever imagine. There’s no f****** way I got this far just to get this far. The pain has only fueled the fire. I know He sees the work and preparation I put in and will reward it. I’m learning to surrender more each and every day.

The lessons learned through hardships really develop your character and help you master patience. They also humble you and help you become more grateful.

And i’ve observed that in ~90% of people that this kind of mentality doesn’t come natural. So I encourage to whoever it doesn’t… that when life kicks your ass(and it will) you kick it back 10x harder instead of falling into self pity and defeat.

I already have the itch but for now I rest, wait and prepare for my last and best 3 years of track and field.

Until next year, thank you for the support.

✌️❤️
