I used to wonder why old guys spent hours hosing down the sidewalk. Now I totally get it.
My Italian grandfather’s thing was his old weed killer pump canister. I’d come home from school and there was Grandpa walking the yard with his, looked like an oxygen tank for deep sea diving and a spray hose. It had a pump and he would put poison from an old brown bottle and casually would say – “don’t get it on your hands … your mother will yell at me” … now, forget about it … those bottles are locked up in a cage and you need a letter from your congressman to get access.  Ok, ok, ok, and rightfully so.
