It’s #WomensEqualityDay in the US —106 years ago today, women won the right to vote with the ratification of the 19th Amendment. However, it’s essential to recognize that the 19th Amendment did not include Asian, Black, or Indigenous women. While 1920 marked a significant milestone, it was neither the beginning nor the end of the struggle for women’s suffrage and equality. 

Today, we honor and celebrate the women who helped to secure the hard-won right to vote and paved the way for the rights we continue to fight for.
