According to both of their profiles on Elite Prospects, despite being prominent hockey figures of their native Germany, the two have never been professionally together until earlier this summer 🇩🇪

According to Jim McBride of the Boston Globe, in speaking with Marco Sturm, the Bruins have wanted to acquire Peterka for quite a while 😳

“I think the biggest reason for that trade was us, as an organization, they’ve been having an eye on him for a long, long time, even before he got drafted,” said Sturm. “So even last year, every year it seems like he was in a conversation. And this time it happened, and we really think and really hope that he will make a difference for us up front.” — McBride via the Globe
