Redshirt senior edge Amar Thomas has struck the perfect balance between on-field wisdom and intelligence, while being able to “have fun with it.”

Named a Preseason First Team All-Sun Belt defensive lineman, Thomas has spent his entire collegiate career with the Dukes. Through 34 appearances, Thomas has recorded 68 total tackles and four sacks. However, accolades and statistics don’t weigh on Thomas. 

“It doesn’t change who I am or how I’m going [about] my leadership,” Thomas said. “Everything is going to be day by day, trying to build up this mood team, making sure the bond comes together and we just become one.”
