## Caption

Skorpion Zinc, near Rosh Pinah, has sat idle since 2020. Not for lack of ore, restarting it needs about 100 megawatts of reliable power the grid cannot supply.

Green hydrogen changes that equation, made on site from Namibia's own sun and wind instead of shipped in like coal. At Arandis, HyIron is already turning iron ore into iron this way, and already selling it to a steelmaker in Germany. Namibia now owns 24% of the bigger project, Hyphen, at Lüderitz.

Does hydrogen actually get to power Namibia, or does it all end up shipped out?
