I don’t think I’ll ever forget that on the day that dolly passed… I was on air at lightning100 and whatever the plan was supposed to be I had to pull out these chords and sing the greatest song ever written by the biggest heart the world has ever known. 

a lot of people say WWJD but I’ve always said WWDD because Dolly walked the walk and talked the talk. She was devout, prayerful and full of love. 

She is the beating heart of Tennessee. 

When I finished this wild church bell/train conductor sound went off in the distance literally on the button of the song. 

i left the station in tears and so glad i got to see lightningcasey and djdanbuckley during this truly “where were you when the news broke” moment …
