Watch as Susan Hall joins Britain’s News Room to debate whether Notting Hill Carnival has outgrown its West London roots, following its record arrests across this year’s event.

A record 636 people were arrested at this year's Notting Hill Carnival over the bank holiday weekend, according to the latest figures from Scotland Yard.

Those arrested included individuals suspected of sexual offences, assault, and possession of weapons, including a handgun.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the total number of arrests as 242 arrests on Sunday and 394 on Monday.

Additionally, 193 arrests took place on the approaches to the event.
