RIP Kesi Fevrier. 🕊️💔 The 27-year-old Ottawa woman’s death is now being investigated as a femicide‼️😰

Two suspicious deaths discovered hours apart in western Quebec and Ottawa are now under investigation by the Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit. One is also being investigated as a femicide. 

Police identified the deceased as Kesi Fevrier, 27, and Kingsley Nwude, 34, both Ottawa residents.

Shortly before 1 a.m. on Aug. 22, Quebec police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 50 near Papineauville. Nwude was found inside the vehicle with injuries considered suspicious. He was taken to hospital, where he died shortly afterward.

Quebec police then requested assistance from Ottawa police. Just after 11 a.m., officers attended a home in the 200 block of Guigues Avenue in Lowertown, where Fevrier was found dead.

Fevrier’s death is being investigated as a femicide, marking Ottawa’s third femicide of 2026. Police have not revealed how the two deaths may be connected or what relationship existed between Fevrier and Nwude.
